Various
steps involved in setting up extender manually are:
Step 1: -
Establish a connection between a client device, such as laptop or computer, and
extender, with the help of Ethernet cable.
Step 2: - Now
put Linksys extender on power. Wait until LED lights get stable.
Step 3: -
Open a web browser on client device and enter “192.168.1.1” in the address bar
of browser.
Step 4: -
A pop-up will get displayed on your screen, asking for credentials. By default,
credentials are:
Username:
Leave this section blank
Password:
admin
Step 5: -
On the window, firstly click on Wireless
and then on Basic Wireless Settings.
Step 6: -
Move radio button toward manual.
Step 7: -
Enter network name of your home router
Step 8: -
Now assign Passphrase and then click
on Save Settings.
Step 9: - Now
unplug the power chords of both router and extender for about a minute. Then
firstly plug in router and once the lights on router gets stabled, plug in your
extender
